Macabre Mallet : Part Ten : 2000 – 2004

As the late nineties bid farewell, Macabre Mallet had no immediate plans to make any movies in the 21st Century. The reason was due to the feeling of impending doom, as many harboured fears that planes might plummet from the sky, computers would revolt against their users, and the world, as we knew it, would crumble into chaos.

Yet, when it became evident that the doomsday prophecies had been nothing more than collective paranoia, Macabre Mallet wasted no time in resurrecting its time-honored tradition of delivering spine-chilling cinematic experiences, a legacy dating back to its inception in 1955.

Talulah Drummond was initially unavailable to appear in any movies , having sought solace in a remote island retreat owned by her father, where she braced herself for the apocalypse with a steady supply of beer.

Cordelia Crompton

Stepping into the void left by Drummond’s absence was a rising star in the form of Aisha Douglas, a fresh face in the industry whose claim to fame had been her participation in a girl band that clinched a respectable fifth place on the hit TV talent show, X-Ploited.

Douglas found herself cast alongside the popular Cordelia Crompton in a series of hair-raising horror films that would propel Macabre Mallet to new heights in the dawning millennium. Together, they would breathe fresh life into the studio’s legacy, proving that even in an era of uncertainty, the spirit of horror cinema was alive and well.

A VERY BRITISH NUTTER [2000]

Following concerns about the end of the world, production of a new movie was delayed until late 2000. This unexpected hiatus posed a challenge – with limited time and resources, Macabre Mallet had to forego any grandiose special effects. However, this setback led to an inspired decision: the adaptation of “A Very British Nutter,” originally penned by the acclaimed author Arthur K. Peckerton.

Set against the backdrop of a nondescript office block in Basingstoke, this remarkable film emerged from just one month of intense shooting.

Linda (played by Cordelia Crompton) is an office worker weary of the soul-crushing monotony of endless PowerPoint presentations, who embarks on a chilling and murderous killing spree.

EVIL CAVE [2001]

“A Claustrophobic horror that will leave you breathless” – Woking Gazette

When Jackie (Aisha Douglas) takes a fateful wrong turn during a seemingly innocent sponsored walk, her world takes a nightmarish turn. Trapped within the confines of a cave, she quickly realizes that this is no ordinary subterranean labyrinth. It is evil.

As Jackie delves deeper into the darkness, she comes face to face with a malevolent force that has slumbered for thousands of years.

While concerned members of the public mobilise rescue efforts, including an eccentric wealthy man with a peculiar toy submarine, Jackie discovers that her only salvation lies within herself. She holds the key to not only her own survival but the fate of all humanity.

THE NONA GONE [2002]

Two decades ago, the idyllic English village of Bumbleton End found itself occupied by a mysterious alien race known as the Nona (Not of Natural Appearance).

To everyone’s surprise, these otherworldly beings turned out to be quite amicable, and they soon became an accepted part of the community, even participating in the pub quiz and harvest festival.

However, as the years passed, this tranquility shattered by a series of inexplicable events. Whenever a Nona vanished without a trace, ominous occurrences followed in its wake.

Those unfortunate enough to witness a Nona’s disappearance faced a grim fate: their own demise. Leaving the terrified residents crying out in dread, “Where’s the Nona gone?”

THE UNICORNED SQUIRREL [2003]

Inspired by the cult sci-fi classic “THE OVERLORD UNICORNED SQUIRRELS FROM MARS,”

Unlike its action-packed predecessor, this is a more grounded story focusing on a brilliant scientist, who, driven by a relentless pursuit of knowledge, embarks on a series of experiments involving animals.

Through numerous trials, he stumbles upon the ultimate creation: the unicorned squirrel. Yet, the very power that has been bestowed upon this remarkable creature becomes a haunting reflection of the scientist’s own descent into madness.

Yet in his pursuit to play God, can he be trusted with such an extraordinary and enigmatic creation?

THE STABBY MAN [2004]

Derek’s passion for board games takes a dark and twisted turn. His unyielding determination to finally claim the title of “Inter County Board Game Champion (North)” drives him to the brink of madness.

When he suspects foul play during a match of “Pass The Pigs,” he descends into a murderous frenzy.
